Infotracer is a People Search Site that gives its users access to billions of public records. This is a website where anyone who is willing to pay for a subscription, can get a compiled record on almost anyone in the US just by entering simple or basic information of their search subject, such as name, phone number, or address.
Follow the steps below and start scrubbing your information off its databases.
For individuals residing outside California.
Step 1: Go to the Website's Opt-out Page
Go to the Infotracer homepage here: https://infotracer.com/
Scroll down to the bottom section of their homepage, then locate and click the "Do Not Sell My Info" link.
Step 2: Search for your Information
On the website's opt-out page, fill-up the form and click the "Submit" button. Be sure to include all the information (First name, Last name, State, and the City of Residence) to narrow down the search results.
Step 3: Look for the Listing you want to Delete
Browse all the search results and look for the listing that belongs to you. Once you verify that the listing is indeed yours, click the red "Remove Data" button next to that listing.
Step 4: Submit an Opt-out Request
On the next page, provide your contact email address, then perform the CAPTCHA and click the "Submit" button.
Step 5: Confirm Opt-Out Request
You will receive an email upon submitting your opt-out request. For security reasons, in order for them to begin processing your request, you must click the "Click Here" link included in the email.
You will be redirected back to the website, and your opt-out request will be submitted.
For California Residents.
Step 1: Go to the Website's Opt-out Page
Go to the Infotracer homepage here: https://infotracer.com/
Scroll down to the bottom section of their homepage, then locate and click the "Do Not Sell My Info" link.
Step 2: Submit a CCPA Request
Right below the opt-out form, click the "GO HERE" link to submit a CCPA request.
Step3: Fill up the "Opt-Out" Request form
Start by choosing whether you are submitting the request on behalf of yourself or you are just an authorized agent. Then, select the "Do Not Sell My Information" option and enter your first name, last name, and email address. Specify in the "Request Details" field that you want to opt out, then solve that CAPTCHA and click "Submit".
You'll need to file a separate request for data deletion, just repeat the steps from the beginning, but instead of selecting "Do Not Sell My Information", go for "Delete My Information".
Step 4: Confirm Opt-Out and Deletion Request
You will receive an email upon submitting your opt-out and deletion request. For security reasons, in order for them to begin processing your request, you must click the "Confirm Email" button included in the email.
Note: You will receive separate emails to confirm both requests.
You will be redirected back to the website, and your opt-out request will be submitted.
Step 5: Opt-Out and Deletion Request Confirmation
Finally, you will receive this confirmation email once the process has been completed.
